Keynote: From Static Labels to Dynamic Ecosystems: China’s Digital Labeling in Practice
China is entering a new phase of digital food labelling, where the label is becoming more than information on a package—it is becoming a gateway to data across the food supply chain. This presentation explores the current landscape, underlying infrastructure, and key stakeholders of China’s digital label ecosystem. It illustrates how product, food safety, traceability, and regulatory data are systematically collected, connected, and shared from suppliers to consumers. Furthermore, the session examines how digitalization enhances end-to-end supply chain transparency, while addressing critical real-world implementation challenges in data governance and system interoperability.
